3rd Week of “LUCKY” Radio Tour!

Hello boys & girls…. I now have 3 weeks of radio touring experience under my belt and it has been a blast! Last week I visited stations from Virginia to West Virginia to Kentucky and then finished up back home in Tennessee.

I started Tuesday morning talking & performing with Mr. Lynn Rutledge at WMEC 93.9 in Marion, Virginia.  Then I headed to Charleston, West Virginia where I felt right at home due to my love for the other Charleston in South Carolina There I had a great time chattin’ with John Anthony & Matt Pauley at WKWS 96.1 (The Wolf). Then we (my best buddy since highschool, Rob, came along from SC to help me out with driving and to keep me entertained between interviews) drove a couple hours west to Pikeville, Kentucky. We ended the first day at one studio covering  both WDHR 93.1 with the great Jeff Meek, & WXCC 96.5 with Jamey Johnson. It was great to play live for them both and also pretty cool to be “in two places at once”!

Day 2 kicked off with Gator Glass in Frankfort, Kentucky at WFKY “Froggy” 104.9. Gator is my hero with 5 children who he calls “tail pullers”. He also liked my music, which is always good! Next up was WEZJ 104.3 in Williamsburg, Kentucky with Kip Jervis. Kip and I had a great time talking music and I hope to see him again soon! And I’d like to give a special shout out to Lindsay Peterson at WKDP 99.5 in Corbin, Kentucky for playing “Lucky” even though we didn’t get a chance to sit down together. Always appreciated! Rob drove us four hours away (while I napped in the backseat) to Bowling Green, Kentucky where I had the pleasure of meeting, talking, and playing live for Max Murphy (Maxwell P.) at WGGC 95.1. Nice lil’ end to Hump Day!

Thursday morning I was welcomed into Cadiz, Kentucky by Miss Carrie McGinnis & Bill Booth at WKDZ 106.5 . Great time with those two as well! I ended the week laughin’ and talkin’ with Jared Mims at WVVR “The Beaver” 100.3 in Clarksville, Tennessee. I was honored to meet so many great people throughout the week and am grateful that they became a fan of Patrick Davis Music and especially the new single. A big thanks to everyone along the way! Now I’m gearing up for a short radio tour this week before playing a live show in the great city of Charlotte, NC at The Evening Muse this Friday night! Tickets are on sale now and as always I’m sure it will be a good time!

“Lucky” Radio Road Trip #2!!

So… finished up my second leg of radio visits over the past few days where I travelled through Missouri, Arkansas, Kansas & even made a quick stop in Georgia on my way to play in Charleston, SC.

My 1st day on the road I visited Mike Thomas at KFAV 99.9FM in Warrenton, MO in the early morning for a lil’ “chat & play”, then headed over to talk with Terry T at KWWR 95.7FM in Mexico, MO (that’s right Mexico… Missouri) before finishing the day with JT Gerlt at KTKS 95.1FM in Barnett, MO. On the 2nd Day my lil’ sister Megan & I (Megan drove up from Atlanta to spend a week with her brother in his big ole Ford) stopped in & met Ken Dillon at KDKD 95.3FM in Clinton, MO, then made it over to Pittsburg, KS for a lil’ talk with Thom Watts at KKOW 96.9FM & after those 2 stations made the trek down to Arkansas where on Day #3 I was “Lucky” enough to visit with Jarrett Jackson at KCJC 102.3FM in Russellville, AR, JR Runyon & Tiffany at KCNY 107.1FM in Conway, AR & Heath Shelby at KWCK 99.9FM in Searcy, AR.  We finished out our 4 day run with 2 stops in Tennessee with Jason Aldridge at WYVY 104.9FM in Union City, TN & then Daisy Fields at WEIO 100.9FM in Huntingdon, TN (where we ate lunch at a great local spot called “Mallards”).  We meet some really great folks along the weeklong journey & in fact I had so much fun with the folks in MO, KS & AR I decided to make a pit stop by WTHO 101.7FM in Thomson, GA on my way to SC… & I am glad I did cause he played “Lucky” twice during my visit.

“LUCKY” On The RADIO!!

Last week I began my Radio Tour for my lil’ ditty “LUCKY” with visits to Dennis Banka at WUCZ in Carthage, TN, Gordon Stack at WOWF in Crossville, TN & Jim Quinton at WPPL in Blue Ridge, GA.  At each of the stations I played a few songs, chatted a little about what I have happening & even took a few pictures, which you can see here… WOWF FM, WPPL FM & WUCZ FM!!  WPPL’s Jim Quinton was the very 1st station to ADD “Lucky” to his rotation & I will keep ya posted on who else jumps on board… come on Dennis & Gordon.

This week I am hitting stations all over MO, AR & TN… so check back later this week for those pics & stories!!

Lady A, Jewel & More!!

So… just want to let ya know about a few cool things I have happening in my world… On July 25th JASON MICHAEL CARROLL’s new album “Numbers”, on which I co-wrote 4 songs & co-produced the entire album, will be available EXCLUSIVELY at Cracker Barrel stores throughout America!  Then on August 16th JEWEL is releasing her newest project “The Merry Goes Round”, on which Jewel & I co-wrote 11 of the 16 tracks, & then on Sept. 13th LADY ANTEBELLUM is releasing their 3rd album “We Own the Night”, on which I was lucky enough to co-write one of the albums best tracks !!!  & if you’d like to catch me singin’ & a dancin’… I have a number of shows throughout the Southeast coming up over the next few months so please check the TOUR Page for exact details!!

“Wingo & His Yard Cocks” – Champs!!!

Hey SC Gamecock Fans!!!  My love for the Garnet & Black has been well documented over the past year & last night while watching game 2 of the SC/Florida National Championship Series I decided why not try and write a lil’ ditty about our beloved Gamecock Baseball team & their Back to Back National Championships (I actually recorded the song around the 8th inning of the game, but I was pretty sure our Cocks were on their way to victory)… so here you have “Wingo & His Yard Cocks”… http://youtu.be/nBI9F3k1SlQ.  So far the video has around 30k views in 24 hours, which is amazing, & since so many people are asking to get the audio I think I may throw this on ITUNES soon… I will keep ya posted & Go Cocks!  PD

CMA Music Fest Happenings!!!

Hey everybody… it’s CMA Music Fest week here in Nashville & here’s what I have going on!!  Saturday, June 4th I am playing a singer/songwriter ROGER RULES BENEFIT round at the world famous BLUEBIRD CAFE  at 9:30PM with my friends Jedd Hughes, Travis Hill & Kylie Sackley.   Then on Monday, June 6th I am opening the night for my dear ole Texas pal Wade Bowen at The EXIT IN at 7:30PM in Nashville & finally on Tuesday Night I am playing at 7:00PM for The NASHVILLE GIVES BACK Show that is happening on the closed down section of Lower Broadway between 2nd & 4th street!!!

Summer Happenings

April was one of my busiest gigging months ever so to celebrate I am taking it slow for the month of MAY before getting back out on the road in SC, NC, TN & GA in JUNE & JULY.  The 1st date that I have is a ROGER RULES Benefit at THE BLUEBIRD CAFE in Nashville, TN on June 4th & more dates will be announced very soon… so check back soon!!
